ARE YOU READY? Free NHS mail in England is coming to an end .

As of the 30th September, the way NHSMail is funded in England is changing.
The free service as you know it currently is to be stopped and is being replaced by a chargeable service to be provided by EE.

The choice is yours
There are several options open to primary care providers such as yourselves.

Some practices are choosing to continue to use the NHSMail domain name and have signed up to the new chargeable EE service, other practices are choosing to utilise alternative text providers. Some CCG’S and surgeries are choosing to change to a simple pence per text service, whereby they only pay for what they use rather than pay a monthly fee. Surgeries in Wales already utilise a pence per text system.
