Voice Connect launch UK’s widest product range to protect vulnerable lone workers

Voice Connect have released a new package of services making them the supplier of the UK’s widest product range for the protection of lone workers. Groby based telecoms company Voice Connect have recently extended their VC Lone Worker range to include an app with a mobile GPS tracking function and alarm service, as well as a managed bureau service option to offer the broadest range of products available on the market.

The communication specialist’s bureau service offers smaller companies 24 hour access to support when using the VC Lone Worker system, alerting a call centre if an individual fails to cancel a pre-set alarm. The GPS tracking service and the new mobile app also now enables SMEs and individuals to have access to the same protection as larger organisations.

“We are proud to offer any organisation, large or small, a secure system that will protect staff who work on their own,” comments Voice Connect’s MD Stefan Olsberg. “Lone workers are often exposed to dangerous situations everyday and are the most vulnerable employees in the community. The VC Lone Worker system allows staff to leave a pre-recorded message which, if not cancelled, is escalated to a call centre. This means that they can be more easily tracked and traced should anything go wrong.”

According to the Office of National Statistics, up to four million people in the UK are classed as lone workers, and therefore more prone to attack or vulnerable in the event of accident. Voice Connect’s suite of Lone Worker products are used by a wide range of organisations, including utility companies, councils, NHS trusts as well as private firms such as estate agencies and delivery companies.
