Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions at the best of times can be a real hassle and inconvenience for both staff and patients. Voice Connect’s automated telephone repeat prescription service offers patients the option to request repeat prescriptions via their telephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without the need to contact reception.

The repeat prescription solution is available as a stand alone system or as a module on Patient Partner.

How does the solution work?

The patient selects the ‘repeat prescription’ option from the automated menu, for example “For appointments press 1, for general enquiries press 2, to order a repeat prescription press 3.” Once the patient selects the repeat prescriptions option, they will be required to enter their unique PIN number. The patient then has access to a further menu and can submit their request. A patient may need to see a doctor before they request a prescription. In this case, they can be given the option to book an appointment.
