Voice Connect GT301 Lone Working Device

Easy to use personal safety device

LONE WORKING DEVICE

The Voice Connect GT301 device is designed for ease of use and to meet BS:8484 lone working standards. The GT301’s small form factor coupled with its simple interface make it a perfect lone working companion for staff that require more than just phone or App cover.

GT301 Key Features

Easily accessible alarm button – The larger central blue button is easy to locate and is triggered by a 3 sec press/hold. On triggering the alarm button a two way call is instigated with our trained ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) Team.

GPS Tracking – When a lone worker starts a job on the device GPS tracking is enabled allowing the device to be tracked in the event of an incident.

Long Battery Life – The GT301 device has a removable battery with a 10 day standby time and a 76 hour usage time when tracking. This long battery life removes any fears of the device running out of power when in use. Additional batteries are also available for users needing additional battery time.

Man Down – Man Down functionality means that the device can tell when the lone worker has had a “fall” and will trigger an alarm automatically if a fall is detected. This functionality can turned on / off dependent upon each user’s preferences.

Roaming Sims – The GT301 can accept both standard and roaming SIMS. Clients can provide their own SIMS or Voice Connect can provide them as part of a rental package.

SETTING UP A LONE WORKER JOB

The Lone worker sets-up, extends or cancels a job using the speed dial buttons positioned on the lower portion of the device. By pressing the “1” button the GT301 unit calls the Voice Connect lone working service and a job is setup and the system will prompt the lone worker to record a message explaining their whereabouts and any pertinent information regarding their lone working activity. This is the message our ARC staff will listen to if the job isn’t cancelled and becomes an alarm incident. Once the lone worker has finished recording their message they simply press the red hang-up key to finish recording and start the lone worker job.

EXTENDING OR CANCELLING A LONE WORKING JOB

To extend a Job the member of staff simply dials back into the system using the speed dial 1 button and the job will be extended. To cancel the job the lone worker uses the speed dial 4 button and the unit will ring into the system and confirm the job is cancelled.

WHAT HAPPENS IN AN ALARM EVENT

If the alarm does go off due to the job not being cancelled, Voice Connects ARC team listen to the recorded message and then start to follow pre agreed escalation procedures. This will commonly include attempting to contact the worker directly before escalating to work colleagues or finally the police.

ID BADGE FOR LONE WORKER

The Voice Connect ID badge is simple to use and enables lone workers to raise an alarm in a safe and discreet manner. The badge links to the Voice Connect Loneworker APP on the staff members phone using Bluetooth connectivity. The badge doesn’t need its own SIM card as it is linked to a phone, saving costs, increasing the battery life and enabling the device to look just like an ordinary ID badge.

SIMPLE TO USE WITH THE LONE WORKING APP

The Badge works in partnership with the lone working app. The user starts, stops and extends the lone worker “job” via the app. This lone worker job will be running in the background and has an associated finish time. This means that even if the lone worker is incapacitated in some way an alarm will be raised when they fail to cancel the job, but if the lone worker feels threatened they have the ability to instantly raise an alarm using the button on the badge.

Once an alarm is raise our ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) team follow pre-arranged escalation procedures to secure the safety of the member of staff.

ID Badge Key Features

Small Form Factor – Looks just like any other ID badge holder and can be used with both a lanyard and clasp.

Long Battery Life – The badge connects to the mobile phone using Bluetooth or Bluetooth Low Energy technologies giving a battery life of up to 1 month.

Panic Button – Simple to use panic button on the reverse of the badge holder, press and hold to raise an alarm.

Multi Use – The ID badge can also be used in enclosed areas that don’t have mobile coverage. The badges can be used with beacons that can track and raise and alarm if the panic button is triggered.
